The Millefiori Technique Using Polymer Clay
| 1) Condition (soften) clay and mix desired colors. A pasta maker is invaluable for this process. | |

2) Using sheets of clay and simple shapes, create individual components of the design. |

3) Combine different elements to create design-somewhat like a chunky jigsaw puzzle. Also shown are packages of polymer clay, available in a variety of colors. |

4) Continue to add rolls of clay to create background around main design. This design was about 3” across and 2” deep. |

5) Compress finished design and roll newly formed millefiori “cane” to desired size. Each slice now has the design. |

6) Individual slices of canes may then be used to create finished product.
